A GHG inventory that survives an audit

Carbon accounting tools are a dime a dozen. Carbon accounting that feeds an ESRS E1 disclosure, tracks your reduction targets, and stands up to limited assurance — that's Certigence.

Every scope. Every category. One ledger.

  • Scope 1: Direct emissions from stationary combustion, mobile combustion, process and fugitive sources.
  • Scope 2 (both): Location-based and market-based accounting for purchased electricity, steam, heat and cooling.
  • Scope 3 (1-15): All 15 GHG Protocol Scope 3 categories with method selection and data-quality rating.
  • Methodology flexibility: Spend-based, average-data, hybrid or supplier-specific — your method, our audit trail.

Use case: Carbon accounting

  • 1+2+3 — All GHG Protocol scopes covered — Categories 1-15 in Scope 3
  • GHG — Protocol + ISO 14064 methodologies — Pick per category
  • DQR — Data quality rating per line — What assurance providers actually test
  • Target — Science-based target workflow — Baseline → gap → commitment → track

Assurance providers look at your DQR. Give them a good answer.

Data quality is what separates a defensible inventory from a plausible one. Certigence rates every line on the GHG Protocol's data-quality framework and surfaces weak points early.

  • Five-pillar DQR (technology, time, geography, completeness, reliability).
  • Per-line DQR score and rollup per scope.
  • Flag which suppliers to engage for primary data.
  • Track DQR improvement over cycles.

Set a target that's credible — then hit it

Set science-based-style reduction targets against your inventory. Track actuals against the commitment. Get alerts when you drift.

  • Custom emission-reduction goals with milestones and owners.
  • Automatic on-track / at-risk / off-track status per goal.
  • Adjust baselines when the business changes (M&A, divestiture).
  • Scenario modelling projects the impact of planned actions.

An inventory worth defending

FAQ

Which emission factors do you use?

DEFRA, AIB/RE-DISS, EPA, Exiobase and regional grid factors — refreshed annually. You can override per line with supplier-specific factors.

Do you support IFRS S2?

Yes. IFRS S2 and TCFD use the same underlying inventory; the disclosure templates adapt.

Is there a migration path from Persefoni / Watershed / Sweep?

Yes. We accept their export formats and reconstruct the ledger. We assist with migration planning.
